I'm forming a sisterhood!~..

I have learned through trials and tribulations that life is too short! We tend to take advantage of friendships and other types of relationships. Why is it that people come together when there is a wedding, birthday or funeral but not when someone just needs a shoulder or a group to laugh with? I want to change that! I want to start my own tradition and form a “sisterhood” to celebrate ourselves as women! As mothers! And as Sisters!! Something we can share with each other and then pass onto our daughters.

What I am proposing is a commitment of girls to join and dedicate one weekend a year to join your sisters for a “SISTERHOOD WEEKEND”. This event would be held on the exact same weekend each year. You would have all year to plan for childcare and/or significant other care. You would have all year to plan financially. I propose that we meet somewhere different each year...for example one year maybe we could go to a beach resort, one year a cabin in the mountains, one year a trip to Vegas or maybe NYC!..

It’s for us to act like what we are...GIRLS!! We can have late night chats in our PJ’s, drinks on the balcony, trips to the mall but most importantly make memories that will last us a lifetime!

This sisterhood is for us to invite, our sister(s), our mother(s), our best friend from college or maybe our next door neighbor!...Daughters are also welcome, but I think they should be at least 16 years of age. All “sisters” should be able to take care of themselves...remember this is a weekend for us! Not for us to be caring for those we care for all year long!

So are you in??? I would like to get an idea of who is “committed” so we can start planning for our first “weekend”.
